Beaver Tailwater - Campground "C" Access

UTM 15 424843E 4031320N (NAD27)

Campground "C" is the first Corps of Engineers campground downstream of the dam. It is also known as the "Bath-House" access to locals since at one time the campground shower building was the only structure in the first two campgrounds immediately below the dam. The small parking lot there has often served as a meeting location for anglers and fly fishing clubs. It provides walk-in access to the top of the "artificials only" fishing area. The downstream zone was formerly one of Arkansas' first trout catch and release areas established about 1995. The tailwater now has a river-wide slot limit and the artificials only area replaces the catch and release zone.

The Navy Seabees built a rock fishing peer here in the late 1990s which provides some bank fishing access during lower generation flows. High flows however can cover the top of the paved walk area.
