Beaver Tailwater - Beaver Dam Access
UTM 15 424315E 4031099N (NAD27)
(Beaver Dam is ten miles west of Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Hwy 187)
Beaver tailwater is on the upper White River. It was created in 1965 from the construction of the last of five high head dams on the White River. Access is below the dam. There is a gravel parking lot close to the dam. Just downstream a stone's throw there is a paved parking lot with launch ramp for small boats. The tailwater provides roughly 8 miles of trout water.
There is good wade fishing access at low water. During generation wading is severely restricted due to steep banks and potential river stage increases of about 10 feet.
