Beaver Tailwater - Houseman Access

UTM 15 426979E 4035386N (NAD27)

Houseman Access provides provides a boat launch facility and is the last stocking point for the trout portion of Beaver tailwater. It is located about 7-1/4 river miles below the dam. To find the access turn east off of Hwy 62 at the community of Busch. Watch for the sign.

Water levels here rarely get low enough to wade fish. This is boating territory and the river begins to open up into Table Rock a few miles on down stream toward the town of Beaver and the Leatherwood Creek tributary.

There is more boat traffic here and much of the fishing is for walleye. Blue Spring flows into the tailwater downstream and on the far side of the river. There is no access to the spring from the tailwater and it is private property. Still there is a side eddy there where trout often can be found.
