Beaver Tailwater - Parker Bend

Parker Bend access is another walk-in access. Access to the area is via another secondary road off Hwy 187 near the turn-off to below the dam. Watch for signs. The access road goes down a steep hill and past Bertrand access and Campground "E" before coming to a dead end at the river access.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission revamped the area in 2006 by constructing two J-Vane ramps that go out into the river. These provide bank fishing access at various water levels. Be careful if standing on the rocks. They sometimes can "roll" out from underneath you! A popular bait fishing spot at low water is downstream and around the corner where there are two large holes. Boat navigation is tricky through here in all but canoes at low water. At high water, it is the swiftest place on the tailwater with current speeds of a meter a second.
