Bull Shoals Tailwater - Red's Landing Access

(Forty-nine miles below Bull Shoals Dam. Go south on Hwy 5 through the town of Norfork and continue south for several miles. Turn off is after the cemetery and church on the right.

Steamboat Shoals, a major shoal, is about half way upstream to Norfork Access. Downstream about half way to the next access at Chesmond Ferry is a catch and release area called "Monkey Island." There is good habitat for both trout and smallmouth here. Motor boating both upstream and downstream past the long pool at the ramp at low water can be difficult however.

Red's Landing has a newly reworked boat launch making for easy launching. There is limited wade fishing access here also at low water.
