Old River Gauge below Beaver Dam

Gauges like this use to be used on the tailwater to determine the water level. This was before the digital age, and gauges would be placed along the river at various points. If you look on the dam sidewall by the powerhouse, you can still see the large gauge. The water table level below the dam during normal generation ranges from 920-926 (mean sea level). The section of the gauge above reads around the 924 (msl) mark.
